Brief description

:

The project was executed in the Motor Oil (Hellas) Refinery in Corinthos, during the GSD 2016 and included the following works:

a. Maintenance works of the equipment in the units U-3100/ 3200/ 3300/ 3400/ 3600/ 3700

§  Installation of scaffolding all around equipment internally and externally in the positions of operations.

• Installation of blinds of the isolation of the units and restoration after the end of the maintenance.
• Opening of equipment externally and internally for inspection: towers, reactors, regenerator, filters, furnaces, vessels.
• Repairs after the inspection: repairs in shells, repairs or replacement of the trays in towers, repairs in lining (hexmesh), Εσωτερικές επισκευές όπου προέκυψαν μετά την επιθεώρηση: επισκευές στα shell, επισκευές ή αντικατάσταση trays στους πύργους, επισκευές στην εσωτερική επένδυση (hexmesh), installing pads and stiffeners in the dip legs of the reactor R-3251, replacing the supports in furnaces, refractory replacement.
• Externally repairs after inspection: formation and installation of pads and reinforcements, shell replacement, nozzles replacement 2” and 26” in equipment (exchanger S-3101-B, tower C-3201), quality control, and PWHT.
• Exchangers – Air coolers

Opening, bundle extraction or replacement, repairs, replacement of 3 bundles, pressure tests, restoration.

Maintenance totally in 2 towers, 4 reactors, 1 regenerator, 2 filters, 3 furnaces, 29 exchangers, 1 air cooler, 2 vessels, 1 orifice chamber, 1 flu gas line.

b.  Piping Lines

§  Vapor Line replacement from the outlet of Reactor R-3251 to the inlet of Tower C-3201.

Line Diameter: 30", width 9,53mm, material Alloy steel P11.

Total dia inches: 1.000.

Quality Control (X-Rays) and PWHT to all the weldings.

Pressure test: 4 bar.

• Maintenance works and new projects Piping works for products and utilities.

Prefabrication and erection of piping during shut down, partial line replacements, installing new lines

Lines Diameter: 3/4" ÷ 14", width to 10mm, materials C.S., Alloy steel.

Total dia inches: 340.

Quality Control: X-Rays 20%

Pressure test of piping: 20 bar ÷ 80 bar.

c. All type Valves replacement from 1" ÷ 24". Total pieces 38.    

The 90% of the work was done during the S/D.

All the materials and equipment was provided by the owner except the materials for the new piping supports.

The works executed for 2 months before and 14 days during S/D.

The above project was executed in parallel with the projects ‘’ Revamping of fuel & petrol units & equipment of GENERAL SHUT DOWN ‘’ and ‘’ Revamping works in  fuels, petrol, FCC units’’ on the same Shut Down period 2016.
